Housework Privacy Policy


This Privacy Policy describes how Housework, including our mobile software application “Housework®” (“App”), and its associated websites, including www.houseworkapp.com and www.sydneyamiller.com (“Websites”) (collectively “Housework,” “we,” “us”) collects uses, and discloses information pertaining to you, the customer (“you,” “your,” “Customer”), when you visit or make a purchase from us. Please note this Site is not intended for minors.


If you are under the age of 15, please leave this Site, or ask your parent and/or guardian for their assistance. If you are under the age of 18, please ask your parent and/or guardian to review this Privacy Policy and our associated Terms of Service before engaging in our Websites, App, or our Services.

When you visit Housework, whether through our Websites, our App, or otherwise, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with us, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, the term “Personal Information” is used to refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual, such as yourself. Personal Information may include information such as your name, address, and billing information, as well as other information which may be used to identify you, such as your computer’s IP address. Generally speaking, we collect Personal Information for the sole purpose of providing our Services, such as fulfilling your orders (“Services”) for our small-batch gourmet coffee beans (“Products”). The Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It

Order Information

In order for us to provide our Services, we may need to collect certain information pertaining to you, your location, and your financial information (“Order Information”). Generally speaking, all such Order Information consists of information you will actively provide when using our Site. Our use of Order Information is generally limited to fulfilling your orders and providing you with our services, including our live and prerecorded workout videos, and the product we offer for sale (“Products” or “Services”). For example:

  • Order Information We Collect: your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, phone number, and registration information such as a password associated with your email address.

  • Purpose of Collection: we collect Order Information to provide you with our Services, to fulfill our contract with you, to process your payment information, arrange for the shipping of your Products, to provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, to communicate with you, to screen our orders for potential risks and/or fraud, to provide you with customer support through your indicated communication information, and, when indicated by your identified preferences, to provide you with information and/or advertising relating to our Products and/or Services.

  • Source of Order Information: we collect Order Information from your active use of our Site, and your actual provision of such information to us through text fields and other prompts.

  • Our Disclosure of your Order Information: we may share your Order Information with our processors, such as: (1) our platform processors Squarespace and Vimeo, who provides the platform for the Websites and App, respectively; (2) our payment processor, Stripe, who we use to process your payments; and (3) our shipping processors, such as USPS, UPS, or Fed EX, who we use to ship your Products; For more information on our Processors, please refer to the section entitled “Our Processors” below.

Device Information

In providing our Services through our Websites and App, we sometimes may collect certain information pertaining to your device, such as your phone, tablet, and/or computer, in addition to information pertaining more specifically to your use of our Site (“Device Information”). Generally speaking, we collect such Device Information for the sole purpose of enhancing your experience with our Site, our Products, and our Services. Typically, such Device Information is passively collected from your device itself, such as through cookies and other like software. Occasionally, we may share such Device Information with certain third parties to provide behavioral advertising, or otherwise to provide you with advertisements for our Products according to your browsing habits on our Site.   • Examples of Device Information collected: your version of web browser used, the IP address of the device, your time zone, cookie information, the webpages and/or Products or Services you viewed while using our Websites and/or App, your search terms, and how you interact with our Websites and/or App.

  • Purpose of collection: to load the Websites and/or App accurately for you and to optimize your experience with our Websites and/or App through analytics performed on your usage of our Websites and/or App.

  • Source of collection: we passively collect Device Information when you access our Websites and/or App using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.

  • Disclosure for a business purpose: we may share your Device information with our processors, such as: (1) our platform processor, Vimeo. We may also share your Device Information with certain third parties for the sole purpose of providing behavioral advertisements. Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 15. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children, nor are our Products or Services directed towards minors or those under the age of 15. If you are a parent or guardian, and you believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us using the information disposed below in the section entitled “Contact Us” to request the deletion of all such Personal Information.

If you are over the age of 15, but under the age of 18, we may allow you to use our Websites, App, and Services. However, we ask that you please ask your parent and/or guardian to review this Privacy Policy, and our associated Terms of Services, prior to you utilizing our Websites, App, and Services.

Sharing Personal Information

We may share your Personal Information with certain third parties for various reasons. For instance, we may share your information with our Processors, who help us provide our Products and Services, run our business, or otherwise assist in communicating with you, as described above. We may also share your Personal Information with certain third parties to assist in providing advertisements to you about our Products (“Advertisers”). Please note we may also use your Personal Information when required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to subpoenas, search warrants or other lawful requests for information, or to otherwise protect our rights.

As stated above, we use our Processors to help us run our business. More specifically, our processors are used to process the data given to them.   • Platform Processor

  • Payment Processors

We use Payment Processors to complete transactions when providing our Service. Our Payment Processor assist in effectuating your payment, as well as assessing potential risks and/or fraudulent purposes.   • Shipping Processors

We use our shipping processors to deliver your Products to you. As such, our shipping processors may use some of your Personal Information, such as your name and address, to deliver your Products. Behavioral Advertising

As described above, we may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. More specifically, we may share your Personal Information with certain third parties so you may be provided with advertisements for our Products when you use their websites. For example:

Using Personal Information

We use your Personal Information to provide our Services to you, which includes: offering products and/or content for sale and/or viewing, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

Retention

When you place an order through our Websites and/or App, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information, whether through a formal request to exercise your right of erasure, or through the cessation of your use of our Services, such as through the deletion of our App from your mobile device, or through any other means outlined in our associated Terms of Service.  For more information on your right of erasure, please see the ‘Your rights’ section below.

The Right to Access

You have the right to request copies of the Personal Information we have collected. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

You have the right to request us to correct any Personal Information we have collected that you believe to be inaccurate. You also have the right to request we complete Personal Information you deem incomplete.

You have the right to restrict the processing of your Personal Information, under certain conditions.

The Right to Object to Processing

You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Information, such as for the purposes of providing Behavioral Advertising, as discussed above, under certain conditions.

You have the right to request that we transfer the Personal Information we collect to another organization or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The Limited Right of Private Action

In the event we fail to implement and maintain the reasonable security procedures and practices outlined in this Privacy Policy, and such failure directly leads to the unauthorized access and exfiltration, theft, or disclosure of your Personal Information, you have the right to bring a civil action against us, provided we are given thirty (30) days to cure the violation and notify you of such cure.

You may exercise any of the rights discussed above by contacting us at the information disposed below in the section entitled “Contact Us.”  We will do our best to timely process all such requests within forty-five (45) days. Please note we may require an extended time period of an additional forty-five (45) days to process any such request; however, we will provide you with notice of such extended time period and the reason for our delay.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of information that is downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use a number of different cookies, including functional cookies, performance cookies, advertising cookies, and social media or content cookies. Cookies make your browsing experience better by allowing the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as your login information). This means you don’t have to re-enter this information each time you return to the site or browse from one page to another. Cookies also provide information on how people use the website, for instance whether it’s their first time visiting or if they are a frequent visitor.

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Upon any such updates, changes, or modifications, you will be notified the next time you access our Site.
